The Illinois Department of Employment Security (IDES) is seeking an organized, professional, and results oriented individual to serve as an Employment Security Local Operations Manager. This position will direct subordinate supervisors and staff in the delivery of unemployment insurance and employment services to clients. Responsibilities include involvement in financial and non-financial Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) negotiations and other activities as they relate to the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA), overseeing daily operations of assigned offices, and developing and implementing an annual plan of service. This position provides a great opportunity for someone who has a strong knowledge of state and federal unemployment insurance legislation and is dedicated to providing unemployment insurance benefits and employment services to clients. The ideal candidate for this position will have excellent organizational skills, strong leadership skills, and professional supervisory experience in an employment service program, social service program or related area providing employment, human resource development or social welfare services.
