Job Summary: We are seeking a  X-Ray Technologist/Medical Assistant  to join our team. This dual-role position is responsible for assisting practitioners in patient care while also performing radiographic procedures. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical and technical skills, ensuring high-quality patient care and diagnostic imaging in a professional, compassionate manner.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Escort patients to examination rooms and prepare them for procedures.

• Record patient medical history, vitals, and update records in the electronic medical system.

• Prepare and administer medications as directed by a physician.

• Perform basic clinical procedures such as drawing blood and collecting lab samples.

• Properly clean and sterilize medical equipment, following infection control protocols.

• Operate X-ray, C-Arm, and fluoroscopy equipment to capture diagnostic images per physician orders.

• Adhere to radiation safety protocols and ensure patient shielding during imaging procedures.

• Assist in fitting and instructing patients on proper use of durable medical equipment (DME).

• Maintain inventory of medical supplies and ensure proper disposal of biohazard materials.

• Ensure exam rooms are clean, stocked, and ready for patient visits.

• Assist providers with pre-screening and preparation for procedures and surgical consults.

• Maintain compliance with radiologic standards and clinic policies.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required.

• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program required; Certification (CMA or RMA) strongly preferred.

• Current ARRT certification required for radiologic duties.

• X-ray/C-Arm experience preferred.

• Strong knowledge of patient care, medical procedures, and diagnostic imaging standards.

• Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with patients and staff.

• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to work both independently and collaboratively.

• Bilingual (Spanish/English) strongly preferred.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods.

• Manual dexterity to handle medical instruments and operate imaging equipment.

• Ability to lift and move up to 40 pounds.

• Requires repetitive upper-body movements, including typing and handling tools.

• Must be able to adjust focus and have strong vision capabilities (distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception).
