Role Overview

BioLabs is seeking a strategic and results-driven Sr. Director of Finance to help shape the financial future of our growing organization. Reporting to the CFO, you will play a critical leadership role in overseeing financial operations, developing forward-looking strategies, and ensuring regulatory compliance across our network. The ideal candidate will bring deep financial expertise, a strong track record of cross-functional leadership, and the ability to thrive in a high-growth, innovation-driven environment.

Responsibilities

Strategic Financial Leadership

  • Lead financial operations with a focus on forecasting, scenario modeling, and data-driven decision-making.
  • Serve as a strategic partner to the CFO and executive leadership, contributing to capital planning, investment decisions, and sustainable growth initiatives.

Team Development & Leadership

  • Mentor and lead a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.

Financial Planning & Analysis

  • Develop and oversee annual budgets and long-range financial plans aligned with organizational goals.
  • Present financial performance updates, KPIs, and scenario analyses to the CFO, CEO, and Board to support informed decision-making.

Cash Flow & Performance Management

  • Manage cash flow and capital expenditure planning to ensure financial stability and resource optimization.
  • Analyze financial trends and deliver actionable insights for performance enhancement and risk mitigation.

Governance & Compliance

  • Lead internal and external audits, ensuring the integrity of financial statements and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Design, implement, and continuously improve internal controls and financial policies.

Stakeholder & Relationship Management

  • Maintain strong relationships with auditors, banking partners, and other financial institutions to support corporate objectives

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA preferred.
  • CPA or equivalent financial certification required.
  • 12+ years of progressive finance leadership, including 3+ years in a senior or multi-site role.
  • Experience in scaling, multi-entity, and global environments; life sciences or tech a plus.
  • Deep knowledge of GAAP, IFRS, audit, and regulatory compliance across jurisdictions.
  • Proficient in ERP systems, reporting tools, and financial technologies.
  • Proven ability to lead audits, manage complex budgets, and improve financial performance.
  • Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communicator and collaborator across functions and leadership levels.
