What Makes Us Different:
  • Neuro-Affirming Philosophy: We wholeheartedly embrace the neurodiversity paradigm, recognizing and respecting the natural variations in human neurobiology. We are committed to providing therapy that supports the unique strengths and needs of each client.
  • Anti-ABA/Behaviorist Approach: We firmly reject the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and other behaviorist methodologies that aim to force conformity. Our focus is on understanding and supporting communication differences, not "extinguishing" them.
  • LGBTQ+ Affirming & Anti-Racist Practice: We are deeply committed to creating a safe, inclusive, and affirming environment for all clients, families, and team members, regardless of sexual orientation, gender identity, race, ethnicity, or background. We actively work to dismantle systemic biases in our practice.
  • Strong Understanding of Neuro-affirming practices: We value clinicians with a robust understanding of the neurodiversity movement, Autistic culture, and neuro-affirming therapy practices.
  • Client-Centered & Authentic: We prioritize strong collaboration with families while empowering our neurodivergent clients (primarily Autistic and/or ADHD) to be their authentic selves without the pressure to mask or conform.
  • Calm & Supportive Environment: Enjoy working in private offices within our (generally) calm clinic, fostering a soothing and supportive atmosphere for both therapists and clients.
  • Truly Collaborative Team: We believe in the power of teamwork and offer a genuinely collaborative environment where you'll be supported by like-minded professionals.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide engaging and neuro-affirming speech and language therapy services to pediatric clients (a healthy mix of neurotypes, but an emphasis on Autistic and/or ADHD).
  • Collaborate effectively with families, caregivers, and other professionals.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation.
  • Contribute to a positive and supportive team environment.
  • Commit to ongoing learning and professional development in neurodiversity-affirming practices.

You Are Someone Who:

  • Holds a valid Texas SLP-A license.
  • Has experience working with pediatric clients.
  • Possesses a strong understanding of neurodivergence, particularly Autism and ADHD.
  • Is deeply committed to the neurodiversity paradigm and anti-ABA/behaviorist principles.
  • Is LGBTQ+ affirming and actively anti-racist in their clinical practice.
  • Values collaboration, empathy, and respect.
  • Is self-motivated, organized, and reliable.
  • Is passionate about empowering neurodivergent individuals.

Bonus Points For:

  • Specific training or experience in neuro-affirming therapy approaches.
  • Lived experience as a neurodivergent, BIPOC, or LGBTQ+ individual.
  • Bilingual skills.

To Apply:
If you are a progressive and passionate SLP-A who resonates with our values and approach, we encourage you to apply! Please send your resume and a cover letter outlining your experience and your commitment to neuro-affirming and anti-oppressive practices to officemanager@therapycenterofbuda.com. We do not accept phone calls or walk-ins regarding employment opportunities.

We are excited to hear from you and build a team that truly celebrates neurodivergence!

Our state-of-the-art facility spans 4,000 square feet and features both indoor and outdoor sensory gyms, alongside a serene sensory room, designed to nurture comfort and growth.
