FlexStaff is excited to offer a fantastic opportunity to work for our external client, a compassionate community services non-profit organization, at their adult day care and habilitation facility located in Bronx, NY. Position: Registered Nurse Location: Adult Day Care/Habilitation Facility, Bronx, NY Job Type: Temp-to-Hire, Full-Time Schedule: Enjoy a work-life balance with a Monday-Friday schedule from 9 AM to 4:30 PM (35 hours per week). Key Responsibilities: + Conduct evaluations and provide diagnoses and therapeutic interventions tailored to the needs of our clients. + Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and support for individuals. What We're Looking For: + A graduate of an accredited nursing program. + At least one year of experience as a Registered Nurse working with individuals with developmental disabilities in a community-based health services setting. Required Licenses/Certifications: + Valid NYS Registered Nurse license and current registration in good standing. + CPR certification. + A valid New York State Driver's License is preferred. Responsibilities include, but not limited to: + Arranges medical services for persons served and issues medical referrals as needed. + Provides follow-up on medical problems for persons served. + Conducts training for staff in medical administration, personal hygiene, basic first aid, dental hygiene, infection control, adaptive equipment, vital signs, signs and symptoms of illness and other in-services as may be necessary to meet needs of persons served. + Handles control of communicable diseases and infections through identification and assessment, reporting to consulting physician and implementation of appropriate protective and preventive measures and staff training in regard to infection control. + Participates in interdisciplinary team meetings and annual reviews as required by each division. + Monitors required staff health records and provides tests in accordance with regulatory agency requirements. + Provides immediate first aid with referral to outside emergency services or private physician. + Participates in routine individual case reviews. + Prepares and maintains medical documentation on each person served + Administers medications when appropriate, and supervises certified staff in administration. Supervises storage of medications. + Provides supervision and training for Licensed Practical Nurses and/or less experienced Registered Nurses during their tenure at agency. *Additional Salary Detail The salary range and/or hourly rate listed is a good faith determination of potential base compensation that may be offered to a successful applicant for this position at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified in the future. When determining a team member's base salary and/or rate, several factors may be considered as applicable (e.g. location, specialty, service line, years of relevant experience, education, credentials, negotiated contracts, budget, and internal equity).
