Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Market Intelligence & Positioning:
    • Conduct in-depth market research and competitive analysis (including direct competitors like ATS Automation, Durr Group, and JR Automation) to identify market trends, customer needs, and competitive differentiation within the industrial automation sector.
    • Define and refine product/service positioning, messaging, and value propositions that resonate with target B2B audiences, including engineers, operations managers, and executive leadership.
  • Go-to-Market Strategy & Launch:
    • Develop and execute robust go-to-market plans for new product introductions and solution enhancements, ensuring successful launches and market penetration.
    • Collaborate closely with Marketing, Sales, and Engineering teams to align marketing development with market demands and sales enablement needs.
  • Content Creation & Sales Enablement:
    • Create high-impact marketing collateral, including datasheets, brochures, presentations, website content, case studies, white papers, and videos, tailored for B2B automation buyers.
    • Develop sales tools and training materials that empower our sales team to effectively communicate the value of our automation solutions to prospective clients.
    • Develop product and service-focused content that highlights features, benefits, and applications of our automation solutions.
    • Oversee and direct product photography to ensure high-quality visual assets for marketing materials.
  • Demand Generation & Digital Marketing Campaigns:
    • Lead the strategy, development, and execution of integrated demand generation campaigns (digital, events, PR, content marketing) to generate high-quality leads and drive pipeline growth for our automation solutions.
    • Identify and capitalize on opportunities for thought leadership within the automation industry.
    • Manage and optimize search engine optimization (SEO) strategies and web content development to improve online visibility and organic traffic.
    • Plan, execute, and optimize social media campaigns and search engine marketing (SEM) campaigns (e.g., Google Ads) to drive engagement and lead generation.
  • Events & Trade Shows:
    • Plan, coordinate, and execute Ascential’s automation focused presence at industry trade shows, conferences, and events, including event selection, event management, booth design, collateral, and lead capture strategies.
    • Represent Ascential Medical & Life Sciences at industry events, engaging with prospects, customers, and partners.
  • Performance Measurement & Optimization:
  • Track and analyze the performance of marketing initiatives, using data to optimize strategies and demonstrate ROI.
  • Provide regular reports on market trends, competitive activities, and marketing effectiveness to leadership.

Qualifications:

  • Required:
    • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
    • 5+ years of progressive experience in product marketing, marketing management, or a similar role within the industrial automation, manufacturing technology, or complex B2B capital equipment industries.
    • Demonstrated understanding of the B2B sales cycle and marketing nuances specific to the automation or industrial sector.
    • Proven ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, concise, and compelling marketing messages for diverse audiences.
    • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret market data, competitive intelligence, and campaign performance metrics.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a portfolio of successful marketing content.
    • Proficiency with key marketing and sales software, including Salesforce.com, Marketo, ZoomInfo, Google Analytics, Google Ads, LinkedIn, and SEMrush.
  • Preferred:
    • MBA or Master's degree in a relevant field.
    • 5+yrs marketing custom automation solutions, robotics, vision systems, or advanced manufacturing technologies.
    • Familiarity with AI tools, demand generation strategies, and industry publications and events.
    • Experience working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
