Description Our client, a small medical center in the central side of Tucson, is in need for a Medical Billing Specialist and Coder to come in on a temp-to-hire basis! This role is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to contribute to our growing team and has a knack for accuracy, efficiency, and attention to detail. Job Responsibilities: + Use medical codes to document patient diagnoses and treatments. + Process billing for medical procedures, office visits, and treatments to insurance companies. + Review and appeal unpaid and/or denied claims. + Verify patients' insurance coverage and benefits. + Answer questions from patients, staff, and insurance companies. + Identify and resolve patient billing complaints. + Handle information about patient treatment, diagnosis, and related procedures to ensure correct coding. + Perform data entry and utilize paperless billing systems. Requirements + At least 2 years of experience in medical coding and billing. + Experience working with medical billing software, electronic medical records, and electronic data interchange. + Proficient with ICD-10 codes, CPT, and HCPCS. + Ability to multitask, attention to detail, and good organizational skills. + Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal.
