JOB SUMMARY: The Histology Technician (HT) processes, embeds & sections Surgical Pathology cases. The HT performs routine, special & immunohistochemistry stains. Mounts, labels & distributes microscopy slides to the Pathologists. Completes & maintains PM/QC records. Performs general preventative maintenance on laboratory equipment. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: H.S. Diploma,GED,orDEquivalent 2 years of experience Knowledge of lab equipment and apparatus. General knowledge of a variety of standard tests, techniques, methods and procedures. Minimum of 2 years experience working under a Qualified Director of Pathology. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Associate's Degree 4 Years of Experience Histotechnologist **The current salary range for this position is $34.33 to $47.74** A candidate's placement in the range will be determined based on the terms and conditions of the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
