The Federal Project Manager will oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of complex federal environmental remediation projects. Operating in a remote and collaborative environment, this role ensures projects are completed safely, on time, and within scope while maintaining high-quality standards. You will coordinate multi-disciplinary teams, communicate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders, and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership, technical expertise, and experience managing Department of Defense or EPA-related projects. This role provides opportunities to influence environmental outcomes while advancing project management best practices in a dynamic, impact-driven setting.

Accountabilities:

· Manage federal environmental remediation projects, including planning, investigations, feasibility studies, removal actions, reporting, and cost estimation.

· Lead multi-disciplinary project teams, providing guidance, mentorship, and clear instructions to field staff and mid-level professionals.

· Establish and maintain strong communication with stakeholders to ensure project objectives are understood and achieved.

· Ensure compliance with federal and state environmental regulations, health and safety protocols, and project-specific requirements.

· Oversee project budgets, schedules, and documentation to maintain quality and regulatory standards.

· Support risk assessment, quality control, and continuous process improvement throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements

· Bachelor of Science in Geophysics, Geology, Engineering, or related science degree.

· Minimum of 3 years of experience managing projects, preferably in federal environmental remediation or munitions response.

· Familiarity with USACE, AFCEC, NAVFAC, EPA, or other federal environmental programs.

· Strong knowledge of hazardous waste management, environmental regulations, and safety protocols.

· Professional registration (e.g., PE, PG) and/or PMP certification preferred.

· Active OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER certification preferred.

· Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

· Willingness to travel occasionally as required.
