Omni Underground is rapidly expanding and hiring experienced Directional Drill Operators to lead and grow our HDD crews across California’s Central Valley. Responsibilities: • Operate  directional drilling equipment (Vermeer or Ditch Witch) • Read and interpret  utility prints , USA markings, and bore logs • Install  conduit, fiber, power, gas, telecom, joint trench • Coordinate with  Locators, Foremen, and Ground Laborers • Maintain  jobsite safety , clean work environments, and equipment logs • Perform pre- and post-trip inspections of HDD equipment • Troubleshoot issues in real-time with locates or bore alignment • Communicate effectively with the project management and the field team • Follow all OSHA, city, and company  safety regulations Qualifications: • 2+ years operating  horizontal directional drilling equipment • Working knowledge of  underground utility installation (fiber, power, gas, telecom) • Ability to read  utility plans , bore profiles, and site layouts • Comfortable working around  excavators, vac trucks, potholing, trenchers • Strong understanding of  utility locating and dig alerts • Valid Class A CDL • Willing to work in field conditions, including occasional overtime or weekends About Company: Omni Underground is scaling—and we’re looking for people who want to be part of something solid.
