Position Summary
Winterberry Irrigation is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Design & Estimating Assistant to join our growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys turning plans into reality, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and wants to build a long-term career in the irrigation and landscape construction industry.

In this role, you will work closely with our Design, Operations, and Production teams to keep projects moving smoothly from initial bid through final close-out. You’ll be hands-on with landscape plans, construction drawings, and project documents, ensuring accuracy, organization, and top-tier communication throughout every step of the process.

What You’ll Do

• Receive, download, print, and review landscape plans and construction drawings
• Produce clear, accurate take-offs and estimates
• Prepare, type, and send professional proposals
• Verify contract documents and maintain organized project records
• Provide day-to-day support to the Production and Operations Managers
• Create submittals and close-out packages
• Assist with closing out construction projects from start to finish
• Maintain strong phone and email etiquette with clients, vendors, and internal teams

What We’re Looking For

• Experience in irrigation or familiarity with construction plans and documents is preferred — but we’re willing to train the right motivated candidate.
• Exceptional attention to detail, the ability to read and interpret plans, and the drive to move quickly toward accurate, effective solutions.
• Strong communication and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
• A proactive, team-focused mindset paired with a genuine willingness to learn and grow.
• Comfort working with computers, CAD programs, Microsoft Office, digital file systems, and basic office software or mobile apps.
