The University of St. Thomas invites qualified candidates to apply for a Charter Authorizing Program Manager (Program Manager I) position within the School of Education.
This position has a full time equivalency or FTE of 0.625. We anticipate this position to work 25 hours per week, 12 months out of the year.

Salary Range: $38,000 - $41,300
The University of St. Thomas has provided a salary range that represents its good faith estimate of what the University may pay for the position at the time of posting. The specific salary offered will be determined based on factors such as the qualifications of the selected candidate, departmental budget, internal salary equity considerations, and available market information.
JOB SUMMARY
The Authorizing Program Manager will coordinate and execute a variety of tasks central to the authorization of the University’s portfolio of charter schools. Specific responsibilities and outcomes include:
The position requires strong skills in basic math, basic statistics, and writing, as well as the ability to prioritize, work within timelines, remain organized, and pay attention to detail. The position requires excellent communication skills, the ability to read and comprehend information at a high level, and the capacity to interact with others in a variety of professional settings. Knowledge of maintenance of website also required.
The Charter School Authorizing Program strives to provide a positive, professional work environment in which the selected candidate can learn key skills for working in policy, education, and other fields, and contribute to improving the life opportunities of all Minnesota children, particularly those most in need. In a small program, the selected candidate will be a valued partner with diverse duties and the ability to take on tasks of varying complexity and challenge, particularly as their knowledge of the field of authorizing grows.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
1. Serve as a point of contact and oversight for chartered schools.
2. Assist with creation and maintenance of University of St. Thomas Charter School Program
website.
3. Support key Authorizing Program functions.
4. Demonstrate commitment to professional ethics in coordinating Charter School activities.
5. Develop a strong knowledge of authorizing and chartering to be used in furthering the goals, mission, and quality of the St. Thomas Authorizing Program.
6. Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Authorizing.
QUALIFICATIONS :Minimum Qualifications
An equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills have been acquired may be substituted.
Preferred Qualifications
Graduate level degree related to education, program evaluation, or public policy
Interest/background in program evaluation, data analysis, law, public policy, social justice, and/or education
