Job Description

Boston Volvo Cars is looking for an  Automotive General Manager  to join their award-winning team.

Job Type: Full Time

Pay: $200,000-$400,000

Responsibilities

  • Drive dealership profitability by monitoring daily operations, analyzing performance data, and implementing strategies to increase sales across all departments (new, used, service, parts, and finance)
  • Approve and manage dealership inventory (new and used)
  • Oversee all financial processes, including forecasts, expense management, factory incentives, and finance paperwork, while maintaining strong relationships with lenders and manufacturers
  • Ensure all dealership operations are efficient and compliant with federal, state, and local regulations
  • Provide hands-on leadership to all department managers and staff
  • Recruit, train, and motivate sales personnel, ensuring they meet goals, become factory-certified, and adhere to dealership policies
  • Actively supervise salespeople to boost customer satisfaction and close rates
  • Collaborate with corporate and manufacturer teams to set business objectives and ensure compliance with brand standards
  • Work with the internet sales and corporate teams to manage lead handling and advertising for the sales department
  • Stay current on industry trends and competitive market conditions

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience as a General Manager / General Sales Manager at a luxury or high-line automotive dealership
  • Proven ability to lead and manage a large, diverse team across multiple departments
  • Strong financial acumen with the ability to interpret and analyze financial statements
  • Demonstrated track record of driving sales growth and achieving high customer and employee satisfaction
  • Proficiency with Dealership Management Systems (DMS), with Reynolds experience preferred
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • A professional and positive demeanor with a strong customer-service orientation
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record and the availability to work on Saturdays
