Assignment Description

We are hiring an Assistant Controller with strong US GAAP/ASC 944 expertise and experience in insurance, reinsurance, or warranty accounting for one of our client. The role supports technical accounting, financial reporting, month-end close, policy development, and internal controls. Ideal for a hands-on CPA with 4+ years experience, preferably from a Big 4 Senior/Manager background.

Who You Are

• A technically strong accounting professional with solid US GAAP knowledge.
• Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• An actively licensed CPA (credential and state verified).
• Bring 4+ years of progressive accounting or audit experience.
• Experienced in insurance, reinsurance, or warranty accounting.
• Comfortable with technical accounting research, financial close, and policy development.

What You Will Do

• Lead technical accounting research and ensure full compliance with US GAAP , especially ASC 944 (Insurance) .
• Support the monthly financial reporting package with accurate analysis and insights.
• Participate in the financial close process , including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial disclosures.
• Develop, maintain, and enhance accounting policies and procedures .
• Collaborate across technical accounting, reinsurance accounting, tax, and internal controls to ensure accuracy and operational efficiency.
• Provide technical guidance and support to leadership in a fast-paced, growing environment.
